Fire Storm is an abstract painting reflective of several events happening now in the world. While I sit in my middle income home in North America, others are dealing with nightmares in their waking hours.
The fire storm outside my window burns from yellow, red to deep purple in gradient tones. The flames are hottest at the bottom of the canvas. A typical ash colored flakes on the bottom of this painting has been replaced by gold dust. The seeds of change are what I was trying to capture, a sprinkling of hope.
Blue and white horizontal and vertical lines represents my windows which are starting to melt from the expanding heat. How long will my safe house protect me from those atrocities outside?
